PRIMAL PLAY

with Oceans of Movement

Primal Play is a journey back to the body’s instinctive wisdom. Through playful somatic exploration of balance and strength, partner exercises, organic ground-based movement, and conscious breathwork, we reconnect with the freedom, curiosity, and joy that once came naturally - before movement became something to perfect, achieve, or perform.

Honouring both the wild and the soft, this practice invites us into a more balanced relationship with ourselves. We explore the dance between challenge and rest, strength and surrender, expression and presence, remembering that true vitality arises not from constant striving, but from moving in harmony with nature.

Together, we crawl, climb, roll, balance, connect, laugh, and explore what emerges when movement - both instinctive and intentional - is freed from expectation and returned to curiosity.

Expect deep grooves, playful challenges, moments of intensity, laughter, and release. As movement, breath, rhythm, and presence begin to dissolve into one another, we rediscover the simple medicine of being fully alive - together. No experience is needed - only curiosity and a willingness to step beyond the familiar and outside your comfort zone.

Primal Play is guided by Goda, founder of Oceans of Movement - a space devoted to embodied awareness, conscious movement, and the art of questioning and listening deeply.

Raised by woodlands and driven by a deep sense of curiosity, Goda believes the body holds wisdom far beyond what the mind alone can access. Her approach centres on exploring the wild intelligence that exists beneath conditioning, performance, and the stories we carry.

Drawing from over seven years of learning, teaching, and exploration across retreats, studios, wellness centres, and holistic health spaces throughout Europe, Asia, and North Africa, her work weaves together somatics, therapeutic and behaviour-change coaching, yoga, strength and mobility training, and a lifelong exploration of movement as a pathway home.

Not a method, but a remembering. A return to the understanding that resilience, vitality, and belonging are not things we need to earn or strive for, but qualities already woven into our nature.

PRIMAL PLAY - what is it?

Remember when play wasn't something you scheduled?
When movement happened naturally.
When you climbed because you were curious.
Ran because your legs wanted to run.
Rolled, balanced, crawled, explored, laughed.
When your body knew exactly what it needed.
Primal Play is an invitation to return to that place.
A space where movement becomes exploration rather than exercise.
Where connection matters more than performance.
Where curiosity replaces self-judgement.
And where the body is free to express itself in ways it rarely gets the chance to in modern life.
Together we move through a landscape of instinctive movement, playful challenges, partner exploration, embodied games, somatic awareness, and moments of both wildness and stillness.
This is not about learning choreography.
Nor is it about becoming stronger, more flexible, or more capable—although those things often emerge along the way.
It is about remembering.
Remembering the animal body.
The playful body.
The body that knows how to adapt, create, connect, and belong.
We honour both the yang and the yin.
The part of us that wants to leap, wrestle, challenge, create, and express.
And the part that longs to slow down, feel, receive, listen, and rest.
The healthy masculine that brings direction, courage, presence, and grounded strength.
The healthy feminine that invites flow, intuition, receptivity, and trust.
Through movement and play, these energies meet once again—not in opposition, but in harmony.
Each session unfolds organically.
We warm slowly.
We awaken.
We connect.
We explore.
We laugh.
We challenge ourselves.
We surprise ourselves.
And then we soften.
We breathe.
We integrate.
Allowing the nervous system to settle and the body to absorb the experience.
Accompanied by organic rhythms, deep bass, earthy sounds, and the energy of the tribe, Primal Play becomes more than a movement practice.
It becomes a reminder that being alive is meant to be felt.
That movement can be joyful.
That connection can be simple.
And that perhaps the version of ourselves we are searching for is not somewhere ahead of us—
but waiting in the body,
beneath the layers,
ready to come out and play.
No experience needed.
Just curiosity.
Come as you are.
The tribe is waiting.

Movement. Connection. Tears. laughter. What a unique space to connect to your body, and Goda does a great job holding it all - highly recommend to try when you have a chance!
